Get StartedDevil’s Cask believes the best solutions to problems are effective, pragmatic, cost-effective, and scientifically proven. While having deep respect and appreciation for traditional distilling and spirit maturation methods, modern solutions for an age-old craft can cut losses and be implemented without disrupting the way quality spirits are manufactured.
Our product, a fluid vapor barrier, is applied to the exterior surface of a wooden cask used in the maturation process of barrel-aged spirits. This functions to reduce the transmission of ethanol and water vapors from escaping out of the cask, decreasing angels’ share.
The coating greatly diminishes ethanol and water evaporation from the cask without significantly affecting the flavor profile of the maturing spirit. In addition, the coating will continue to allow oxygen to permeate the wooden cask.
This is necessary for proper spirit maturation and flavor profile development in the intended beverage.
